  • Dundee last beat Rangers on Wednesday 14th March 2001 when Claudio Caniggia and Steven Milne scored the goals to earn a famous 2-0 win at Ibrox
  • Dundee and Rangers have competed in three major cup finals, the 1951/52 League Cup Final, the 1964 Scottish Cup Final and the 2003 Scottish Cup Final
  • Dundee’s first ever match was against Rangers at home at West Craigie Park on Saturday 12th August 1893. The match finished 3-3
  • Dundee celebrated their 120th Anniversary with a friendly against Rangers at Dens on Wednesday 31st July 2013. The match ended 1-1 with Declan Gallagher getting Dundee’s goal.
  • Dundee’s 1973 League Cup winning manager Davie White managed Rangers between 1967 and 1969
  • Andy Penman won the Scottish League Championship with Dundee in 1962 and despite moving to Rangers in 1967 that remained his only major winners medal despite five seasons at Ibrox
  • Rangers won the European Cup Winners Cup in 1972 but were also runners-up in 1961 and 1967 and runners-up in the UEFA Cup in 2008
  • Rangers have won the domestic treble on seven occasions, the last being in 2002/03 after they beat Dundee in the Scottish Cup Final.
  • Dundee defeated Rangers 3-2 in the League Cup Final on October 28th 1951 in front of 92,325; the fourth highest League Cup Final attendance of all time.
  • Dundee have beaten Rangers 32 times at Dens, the first coming in a 3-1 win on December 6th 1902 and the last being a 4-3 win on August 15th 1992 thanks to goals from Den Bieman, Gilzean and Dodds (2)
  • Dundee manager Paul Hartley last beat Rangers as a Celtic player in a 1-0 win at Ibrox on December 27th 2008
  • Dundee striker Rory Loy made two substitute appearances for the Ibrox side after coming through their youth set up
