  • Rangers first visit to Dens was on January 20th 1900 when they left with a 3-2 win in front of 12,000; Dundee’s biggest crowd of the season home or away
  • Dundee’s first win over Rangers at Dens was on December 6th 1903 when goals from Fred McDiarmid and Willie White (2) gave The Dee a 3-1 win
  • Dundee’s last win against Rangers at Dens was a famous 4-3 win on August 15th 1992 thanks to goals from Den Bieman, Gilzean and Dodds (2)
  • Dundee have defeated Rangers 31 times at Dens
  • Dundee have played Rangers at six different venues; West Craigie Park, Carolina Port, Dens Park, Ibrox, Hampden and Tannadice
  • Dundee played Rangers four times in season 1944/45 in the Scottish League North East Division despite the fact that Rangers are neither in the north or the east!
  • Two former Dundee players have managed Rangers, namely Scot Symon, and Alex Totten
  • Eight former Rangers players have manager Dundee, namely Billy McCandless, Andy Cunningham, Willie Thornton, John Prentice, Iain Munro, Alan Kernaghan, Alex Rae and John Brown
  • Willie Thorton and Davie White have managed both clubs while former Dundee manager Archie Knox was Rangers assistant manager from 1991 until 1998
  • The Dens Park record crowd is 43,024 against Rangers in the Scottish Cup in February 1953
