Dundee Football Club are delighted to announce the return of striker Zach Robinson.
Robinson joins the club on a season-long loan deal from AFC Wimbledon, subject to International clearance.
The club are thrilled to have agreed a deal with AFC Wimbledon and that Zach has chosen to come back to Dundee.
Zach played an important role in last season’s Championship success, over two loan spells with us, playing 33 times and scoring 13 goals in all competitions.
The 20-year-old striker came through the youth academy at Wimbledon and progressed through the ranks to make his first team debut at the age of 17.
He has had loan spells with Basingstoke Town, Leatherhead, Woking, Hemel Hempstead Town, and Hampton & Richmond Borough.
On the signing of Robinson, manager Tony Docherty said, “We are absolutely thrilled to get Zach back at the club where he had such brilliant success last season. He had a fantastic goal return and scored some very important goals which helped the club win the Championship. It is a signing that will massively excite the fans who love him after he had such a massive impact last term. Personally, I am thrilled to get the opportunity to work with Zach. I saw a lot of him last season and always came away thinking what a talented player he was, he made a huge impression on me. I am sure Zach along with the other new additions to the squad will make us a competitive team this year.”
Zach goes into the squad for tomorrow’s pre-season friendly against Brechin City.
Welcome back Zach!
