Jordon Forster has helped the team to four clean sheets in a row in recent weeks including one at Somerset Park on Saturday.
This Tuesday we face Ayr United again and Jordon spoke to the broadcast media ahead of the match. It’s unusual to face a team so quickly and the defender told the press the approach will be the same, he said, “We’ll approach the game similar to how we approached the one a couple of days ago.”
“We’ll look to use the slightly better surface and hopefully the conditions are a little bit better so we’ll look to play more football and take the game to them.”
“Momentum in football is hard to get. When you are losing games it’s hard to get that win and when you are winning it almost seems a bit harder to lose a game. Keeping the momentum going is massive and we are looking to go for another clean sheet obviously.”
It’s five unbeaten for Dundee with four clean sheets in a row. The last two have been 0-0 draws, Jordon continued, “We need to just try put the same defensive display in and add something to the attacking side. A few goals or try and nick games 1-0 rather than them being 0-0. People are saying we are on this good run but it’s been 0-0 in our last two games and both could easily have been 1 or 2-0. We need to look and try to bring a more overall performance.”
“We seem to be a lot more solid over the past few games but that is not just as a back 3 or back 4 that’s as a team. We are working a lot harder and being more difficult to play against. Now we need to do that as well as use the ball better and give our attacking players more of an opportunity to influence the game.”
