By Train

Stirling is well serviced in terms of trains from most parts of Scotland and is on the Dundee to Glasgow Queen Street line. From the train station the ground is about a mile and half or a 20min walk away. When exiting the train station, take a left and go over the new modern looking bridge across the railway tracks. Walk South East over a small patch of land that takes you on to Forthside Way. Follow this road out of town and it will take you straight to Forthbank Stadium. Alternatively there is a taxi rank located at the front of the train station and see below re buses.

By Bus

Buses past the Stadium run from Stirling Bus Station, 3 minutes walk from the train station (turn left outside). WAVE Ltd operate a service every 12 minutes from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturdays (extended to 8.30pm on Thursdays). Fare is 60p single, £1.20 return. Operates from Stance 1 at the Bus Station.

In addition First Bus operates Route 16 from Stirling Bus Station (to Falkirk Bus Station) through the day – Mondays to Saturdays. However it is only an hourly service leaving Stirling Bus Station on the hour or at five minutes past the hour, returning from the Stadium at 35/40/41 minutes past the hour dependant upon the time of day.

Car Parking

There is free parking for home and away fans at the stadium however this is limited and is shared with users at The Peak facility. There is additional free parking at Springkerse Retail Park a 5-10 min walk.

General Information

Located in Springkerse area of Stirling, Forthbank Stadium hosts home games for Stirling Albion FC. The stadium has a capacity of 3808 and was opened in 1993. Home fans are situated in the West Stand with travelling supporters based in the smaller East Stand. The North and South terracings are available when required.

The nearest cash machine is located at Morrisons Supermarket (5 mins walk).

Match day catering is provided underneath both stands and sells a variety of hot and cold snacks

The Bino Bar is located at the ground for all supporters and will be open pre and post match.

Forthbank Stadium operates a complete no smoking policy within the stadium, this ban also covers all types of e-cigarettes.

Stirling Albion’s Season So Far

Stirling’s first pre season friendly was on Wednesday 27th June when they drew 1-1 away at Airdrieonians. A trialist fired Albion in front from outside the box in the second half but Darryl Duffy headed a late equaliser for the Diamonds.

Stirling’s second friendly three days later saw them beat Lowland League side Dalbeattie Star on a hot afternoon at the Islecroft Stadium. Goals early in each half from defender Ross McGeachie and U20 midfielder Justin Watson ensured a comfortable victory for The Binos.

Stirling then took on another Lowland League side East Kilbride at K-Park which resulted in another 2-0 win and they finished their pre season preparations with another away 2-0 win on Saturday, this time at Stair Park, Stranraer with former Dee Peter MacDonald on target from the spot.

Last Meeting

Dundee last met Stirling Albion in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup on November 19th 2011 and after going behind to a Darren Smith goal on 26 minutes, progressed to the next round after Ryan Conroy equalised five minutes later and Stevie Milne got the winner midway through the second half.
