Following our update this morning the club would like to issue the following information regarding Saturday’s cinch Premiership opener with St. Mirren at the Kilmac Stadium.
Tickets for the match have now all been issued outwith a section we have reserved to try and satisfy demand for those out of town who emailed in yesterday morning.
The email process has taken longer than expected due to the amount of non season ticket holders who have requested tickets. Tickets are only available to Season Ticket Holder and as such all emails are being looked into and replies will be sent out tomorrow.
The whole process was not an easy one to put together under tight restrictions.
We are pleased to say 77% of Season Ticket Holders will gain access. Of course it does not sit well with us that the others will not be with us on opening day but sadly with social distancing enforced this is unavoidable on this occasion.
In previous fixtures under restrictions we have only be able to accommodate 17% (Kilmarnock) and 34% (Forfar) due to social distancing.
Government restrictions have to be adhered to and this is why unfortunately we are unable to open our other stands to supporters for this fixture. Sadly the areas where we would house fans in the Main Stand and the South Enclosure are unable to meet requirements for 1 metre social distancing around the facilities which we have to offer at a match.
We would like to once again thank supporters for their patience and understanding in this situation. Working under time constraints and having to adhere to guidelines, the club have done everything in our power to try and get as many of you into the Kilmac Stadium as possible.
While it’s no consolation to those who are missing out this weekend, the government review of restrictions takes place before our next home match and we hope for good news that could see everyone back home.
DeeTV streaming will once again be available to Season Ticket Holders while restrictions are in place and as we have returned to the Premiership this has seen a dramatic improvement with a return to the use of broadcast footage.
Finally, we understand the disappointment for those who will not be with us and look forward to seeing you back in the stands very soon.
The government guidance is in place to protect the health and safety of the public and when dealing with our supporters this is our number one priority.
