Last Meeting
Dundee put in a disappointing performance to lose 2-0 to St Johnstone in Perth last March. Saints tied up the points with early goals from Paul Paton and Blair Alston. The home side were able to control the game from then on, and Dundee never looked like turning ample possession into a comeback.

St Johnstone’s Season So Far
St Johnstone’s season started way back in June when they met Lithuania side FK Trakai in the first qualifying round of the Europa League and after a 2-1 defeat at home in the first leg and a 1-0 defeat in Vilnius, disappointingly exited the competition 3-1 on aggregate.
Qualification for Europe meant a bye to the knock out stages of the Betfred Cup but it was another early exit for The Saints when they crashed out 3-0 to Partick Thistle at McDiarmid Park.
The start to their Ladbrokes Premiership campaign has been superb and they come to Dens unbeaten in the first five games. Saints stormed to the top of the league by winning their first three games against Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Partick and followed that up with an excellent 1-1 draw at Celtic Park.
Tommy Wright won the August manager of the month while Micheal O’Halloran, on loan from Rangers picked up the player of the month and he continued to be the key man after the international break when he was on target again in the 1-1 draw at home to Hibernian last weekend.
