Last Meeting

Sofien Moussa sent the noisy Dee faithful on their way from Dens with a song on their lips and a spring in their steps after he scored both goals in a 2-1 win over St Johnstone last April. Moussa put the Dee ahead in the first minute. The win seemed to have been painfully snatched from Dundee’s grasp when Steven MacLean equalised late in the second half. The Dees’ despair was quickly turned to delirium when Moussa headed the winner after 88 minutes and the fans roared the team through injury time to take three vital points.

St Johnstone’s Season So Far

St Johnstone’s season had an inauspicious start with a 0-0 draw with East Fife at McDiarmid Park in the Betfred Cup but they won the bonus point in the penalty shoot-out.

It didn’t stop The Saints from winning their section however as they followed that up with two 1-0 wins against Montrose and Falkirk and in their final game beat  Forfar 3-1 at Station Park.

Saints’ Premiership campaign had a tough start away at Kilmarnock and two goals in the last half hour was enough to keep the points at Rugby Park but they got off the mark in their first home game in a 1-1 draw with Hibs.

Top Scorers

ST JOHNSTONE: Watt 2; Scougall, McMillan, Kennedy 1

DUNDEE: Moussa, Mendy 2; Wighton, Madianaga, Spence, McGowan, Ngwatala 1

Supporter Information

As extensive trunk road creation and alterations continue to take place around McDiarmid Park the following directions are for Dundee FC supporters who should follow these to minimise delays to their journeys both before and after the game.

From the Broxden roundabout follow the ‘”Football Stadium” signage to the Inveralmond roundabout.  After turning full circle at that roundabout and heading back south on the A9 take the first available slip road which is signed for the football stadium.

At the top of this slip road there is an enforced left turn and after making this turn Dundee supporters should immediately move into the right hand filter lane (temporary signage will be in place indicating this) and enter the stadium car park by turning right.

All away supporters’ cars and buses will be accommodated at the west side of the all-weather pitch adjacent to the stadium.

At the conclusion of the game, away supporters will exit the car park via the gate closest to their car park and thereby gain quick and direct access to the A9 heading towards the Broxden roundabout.

All Dundee fans are asked to follow these instructions to minimise delays to their own journeys and also aid the overall traffic management plan for all supporters and the wider local community.  In particular, Dundee fans are urged not to use the A85 Crieff Road at any point.
