Club captain Josh Meekings met with Michael Calder (Dundee Foodbank) and Rizwan Rafik (Taught by Muhammad) today to hand over a donation to get the Foodbank collection started ahead of Friday night.
There will be a collection at the Dundee Derby on Friday at the Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park and the playing squad donated money to buy food and other goods ahead of the match.
The Dundee Foodbank and Taught by Muhammad charities work extremely hard to ensure people in the city do not go hungry by providing food packs and other essentials that help through difficult times.
There will be collection points on Friday evening outside the club shop, the bottom of Provost Road/Dens Road and also beside the Bob Shankly Stand.
