- Partick Thistle’s first visit to Dens was on October 23rd 1897 and The Dee won 5-0 thanks to goals from Sandy Keillor, Dave Willocks (2), Malcolm McVean and Joe Devlin
- 1897/98 was Partick’s first in the top flight and they also visited Dens in the Scottish Cup in January. Dundee won the 1st round tie 2-1
- Partick originally played in navy blue shirts and changed to their distinctive red and yellow jerseys in 1936
- Partick have won two major trophies since being formed in 1876; the Scottish Cup in 1921 and the League Cup 50 years later
- Former Dundee player Chic Charnley is in the Partick Thistle Hall of Fame
- Partick Thistle’s current mascot is named Kingsley, and was designed by the Turner Prize nominated artist David Shrigley.
- There are eight different nationalities in the current Partick first team squad
- Dundee and Partick were promoted to the Premier Division together with Dundee as First Division champions and Thistle as runners-up
- Dundee and Partick have both won the Tennents Sixes in 1988 and 1993 respectively. Thistle’s win was the last ever competition
- Willie Thornton and Gerry Britton have both managed Dundee and Partick
