Match Preview – Ross County

Dundee v Ross County

Saturday 7th October – 3pm Kick-Off

The Scot Foam Stadium

cinch Premiership

Tomorrow, we welcome Ross County to The Scot Foam Stadium in our last match before the International break. Ross County come into this match on seven points the same number as The Dee. They have accumulated  these points after beating St Johnstone and Kilmarnock and picking up a point against Livingston. They have lost to Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Hearts. County like The Dee will be looking at this match as an opportunity to take their points tally up into double figures and move up the league table. In their seven matches Malky Mackay’s side have scored six goals and conceded twelve.

The last time the two sides met was on 5th February 2022 in Dundee and it was a 2-1 victory for the visitors that day with The Staggies leaving with all three points.

Team News

Tony’s thoughts

“Yeah, he is a good manager Malky. I’ve known him for years, and he always puts competitive teams on the pitch, and that’s exactly what Ross County are. We’ll need to be at our best. They’ll be disappointed losing their game to Hearts last week. We know there is going to be a real competitive team coming down here. We are on the same points, with goal difference separating us, so I expect a tough game. But hopefully, with what we’ve put in on the training field this week, we’ll be ready for the match.”

Lyall Cameron

“They will be well organised, they’re a good side. They’ve had a decent start as well, so its a big game. We are at home, so we should have that home advantage with everyone behind us. I think it’s a big game for both teams to try to get another win on the board. You want to get as many points on the board as early as you can so, later on in the season, you’re not scrapping for wins at the end.”
