Match Preview – Kilmarnock

Match Preview – Kilmarnock

We play our final match of the 23/24 league season today, Saturday 18th May, against Kilmarnock at The Scot Foam Stadium. We remind all supporters that it is a 12:30pm kick-off on today.

Killie have had a great season this year, which has seen them secure fourth position which means European Football for them next season. Today is the fifth meeting of Kilmarnock and Dundee this season. Three of these fixtures have come in the cinch Premiership and one in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup. Kilmarnock progressed to the next round of the Scottish Cup with a 2-0 win against The Dee at Rugby Park on the 20th of January. The three league meetings between the sides have ended in a 2-2 draw with late goals in all of these matches. All the encounters between these two teams this season have been dramatic meaning we should be in for a great match this afternoon.

Supporter information

As this is the last match of the season after the full-time whistle the Dundee players and coaches will do a lap of honour around the pitch to thank the supporters for their incredible support this season. Owen Beck will join the players and the staff on the pitch after the match.

We would ask supporters to stay on after the full-time whistle to show their appreciation to the players for their performances this season and to celebrate the club’s success this season back in the Scottish Premiership. We ask all supporters to remain in the stands at all times and not to enter the pitch. The lap of honour will only happen if supporters stay in the stands.

As a mark of respect, there will be a minute of applause before the match tomorrow against Kilmarnock for Stuart Gauld. We would ask all supporters to take part in the applause and show their support to Stuart’s family.

The ticket pod will be in operation outside the club store for collecting tickets.

We advise supporters to buy tickets early to avoid queues in the ticket office before kick-off.

Turnstiles will open at 11:30am, we advise fans to arrive early to avoid congestion and to create an atmosphere in the stadium before kick-off.

The middle food kiosk in the Bobby Cox stand accepts card payments, the rest of the food kiosks are cash only.

Supporters are reminded the use of pyrotechnics is illegal at The Scot Foam Stadium and within all Scottish football grounds.

Residents Parking Zones are now in place around the Scot Foam Stadium on match days. This means only residents with the required permit will be allowed to park within the designated zone. Signage is in place at the entry points to the controlled zone. There will not be any parking bollards in place but be assured that unless you have a permit you cannot under any circumstances park within this zone. Any infringement could result in penalty charges.
