Match Report: Dundee Reserves 2-2 Livingston Reserves

Dundee Reserves and Livingston Reserves played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Gayfield Park, Arbroath. The match featured a flurry of goals and exciting moments, though neither side could find a winner in a tightly contested encounter.

The game began brightly, with Dundee Reserves taking an early lead thanks to a goal from Rayan Mohammed. The forward showed his quality in the 42nd minute when he added a second, lofting the ball over the Livingston goalkeeper after being played through on goal, giving Dundee a 2-1 advantage heading into halftime.

Livingston, however, responded in the first half when Muirhead equalized, making it 1-1. Dundee briefly regained their lead thanks to Mohammedā€™s fine chipped effort just before the end of the first half, but Livingston would find another equalizer. Green struck for the visitors, leveling the match at 2-2.

Despite both teams creating chances to edge ahead, neither could break the deadlock. Dundee had some good play down the right wing between Clark and Allan in the 59th minute, but the resulting cross was well caught by the Livingston keeper.

The second half was marked by several substitutions for Dundee. Leiper replaced Allan in the 69th minute, while Finlay Corrigan came on for Chase Scott in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, Dundee suffered an injury setback late on, with Lynch being forced off in the 89th minute and replaced by McKelvie.

Livingstonā€™s McAlear was shown a yellow card in the 66th minute, but Dundee couldn’t capitalize on the resulting free-kick. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with both sides settling for a point each in a hard-fought reserve fixture.
