Manager Jim McIntyre saw his side collect a point against Livingston in the Boxing Day match at the Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park and told DeeTV after the match, “I was proud of what the players gave us, it’s a clean sheet and a point gained with the other results, from that side of things that’s the bonus.”
“Disappointment is that we have not managed to finish the game off and take three points because I felt our play deserved that.”
“Truth be told, our final ball or final decision just wasn’t quite there to give us the opportunity to score and when we did get into good areas we haven’t hit the target.”
“The players stood up to a lot of set plays and long throws which is something we didn’t do well down at Almondvale so it was good make sure that we did that side of the job.”
Livingston ended the match with 10 men after Jack Hamilton was sent off for an off the ball incident with Darren O’Dea, “Sometimes it’s harder against ten men because teams camp in. Of course I’m disappointed, I’m disappointed against 11 we haven’t managed to win the game but we take the positives from it. It’s another point picked up.”
Martin Woods was named in the starting line up but after having to leave the pitch during the warm up, Glen Kamara was brought into the starting line up, the manager explained it was illness which kept Woods out, “He was ill, he had a viral complaint where he was being sick. He was totally floored in terms of his energy levels when he started the warm up. He thought he could get through it but he was no where near where you need to be to perform so we made the change.”
