Manager | Alloa pre match

Manager James McPake is looking to guide his team to back to back wins as we travel to the Indodrill Stadium tonight to face Alloa.

The manager spoke to the broadcast media ahead of the match and said, “They were very good when they came here and caused us real problems. We won that game after a penalty save from Jack.”

“Peter has them playing in a way that he likes to stick to and they play some real nice football.”

“I think similar to what I said before the Ayr United game, it’s about us. It’s about our performance, what we can do and what we can impose on the game down there and if we do that then I’m confident we can come out on top.”

Alloa play on a plastic pitch but the manager was quick to point out there will be no excuses around the surface, “No excuses, I don’t like them but they came here and played very well on grass even though they train on astro. We have utilised the Regional Performance Centre on Sunday and Monday to train on astro.”

“We have to go there and you have to deal with it. Whether it’s grass or astro we need to just do what we do and play the football we play.”

On the team news front, Jack Hamilton is still recovering at home after surgery on his appendix while Josh Todd received stitches on Friday after the match with Ayr United. Jamie Ness returns to the match day squad.
