Lech Poznaǹ vs Dundee

Dundee wrapped up their training camp in Poland with a 1-1 draw with Lech Poznaǹ.

Lech started the match brightly forcing two corners in the first five minutes. Sousa then had a shot outside the box but McCracken tipped it over the bar. The home side’s pressure paid off when they opened the scoring after 28 minutes. A ball down the right-hand side found Ishak who launched the ball into the back of the net. It was nearly two shortly after when a free-kick from Pereira smashed the post. There were another two chances for Lech but they couldn’t find the back of the net. Dundee had a half-chance when Ingram crossed into the box, Main connected but the ball went into the side net. The teams went into the break with the home side 1-0 up.

At half-time, Lech Poznaǹ changed their full team for the second half. It was The Dee who started the second half the brightest, Palmer-Holden played in McCowan who had a shot but the keeper pushed it away. Substitute Sylla had a shot blocked  with the ball going out for a corner, McGhee then attempted an over-head kick from the corner but Lech cleared. Palmer-Holden came very close when McCowan played him in, but his shot was saved. But a minute later The Dee were level through Palmer—Holden who won the ball off the defender and smashed the ball into the bottom left-hand corner of the net. With five minutes to go Charlie Reilly nearly found the net as he curled a shot from the left-hand side but the keeper got a hand to the ball.

In the final stages, Lech nearly stole the winner when McCracken’s pass found the Lech striker but he blasted over the bar.

The match finished 1-1 and it was definitely a game of two halves with Lech dominating the first half and Dundee the second half.
