“I’m raring to go”

Josh McPake joined on loan from Rangers on Tuesday morning and spoke to DeeTV after he had taken part in his first training session with his new team mates. Josh said of the move, “Really pleased, first day went well, got in to meet some of the boys. They seem like a good bunch of lads so I’m raring to go now.”

Asked when he first heard of the interest, “It was last week. I got a call when I was down in London from the Rangers loans manager Billy Kirkwood to say Dundee were interested in a loan and I immediately thought it was something I could think about.”

“I thought about it and spoke to my agent about it, and came to the agreement about it.”

Josh watched from the Directors Box during our Betfred Cup match with Aberdeen on Sunday, “I met the manager before the game. I was really impressed with the game. I thought they we were the better team. That was obviously a bonus for me to come down and meet the manager, he seemed very keen.”

He trained with his new team mates this morning and is looking forward to Saturday’s match with Inverness at the Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park, “Training was good, I enjoyed it, really sharp. It was a good session and I’m looking forward to the game against Inverness on Saturday.”
