Sean Mackie was Dundee’s deadline day signing when he agreed to move on a season-long loan from Hibernian late last night.

The left back only found of Dundee’s interest after training yesterday and was happy to get the deal done, he told us, “George Craig (Head of Football Operations at Hibernian) came to me after training yesterday at about 3 o’clock and said to sit tight and to wait and see what happens. He phoned me later on and said it looked likely I could go to Dundee and I was happy with that, to come out and try get games under my belt.”

Sean traveled to Dundee this morning and joined his team mates for training, “I met the manager, the players and the staff this morning and they have all made me feel welcome. I’ve been shown around and trained today which was good to get to know the boys a bit better.”

Sunday could see Sean make his debut for the club after missing the chance to play in the competition for Hibs Colts due to his age, “I didn’t play in the (Tunnocks) cup for Hibs (Colts) as I was too old so it would be good if I can get on the park on Sunday and show what I can do.”
