Dundee earned their first win of the Reserve Cup group section this afternoon with victory over Dunfermline at Station Park.
Both teams fielded experienced players with Dundee listing Parish, Madianga, Ngwatala, McGowan and Mendy amongst the starting eleven.
It was a fairly even first half with Dundee perhaps just shading it with neither keeper really being called into action.
Mendy couldn’t connect when a corner fell into his path in Dundee’s best chance while for the visitors a Gregor Jordan shot was blocked by Ethan Smith to deny them after a corner had dropped in the area.
After the break Dundee took more control of the match and were infront when clever play saw Mendy lay the ball off to Henvey who curled in the bottom corner.
Dunfermline pushed for an equaliser but couldn’t find a way through a well organised Dundee defence.
