Dee into Youth Cup Quarters

Dundee cruised in the Quarter Final of the SFA Youth Cup on Sunday afternoon with an 11-0 win over Clachnacuddin.

The young Highland side held out well at the beginning of the match despite Dundee pressure with the match remaining goalless until the 22nd minute.

John Smith opened the scoring after a neat turn and finish and within 3 minutes the Dundee man had a hat trick.

A few minutes after his opener, Michael Cunningham played Smith in again and after good footwork in the box, he fired home.

From the kick off Dundee won the ball back and within 12 seconds of the restart Smith had curled home his and Dundeeā€™s 3rd.

Ten minutes later Lyall Cameron got himself on the score sheet when he was found in the area by Josh Mulligan and poked past the Clach keeper.

There was still time for Dundee to add a couple more before the end of the half. Firstly, Ethan Smith headed home from a Finlay Robertson corner.

Cunningham completed the first half scoring when he hammered home at the front post to make it 6-0 at the break.

James McPake made substitutes at the break with Grady McGrath and Kyle Fleming coming onto the pitch. It was McGrath who netted the next two goals as Dundee went further ahead.

Ten minutes after the restart, he slotted home after Mulliganā€™s cut back. He added his second from the penalty spot when Nathan Meres was fouled just after the hour mark.

Three minutes later another sub Isaac McLean got himself on the score sheet. McLean was fouled in the box and stepped up himself to fire home.

The scoring was complete late on when John Smith found the net for a fourth time with a drilled shot from a tight angle and Mulligan forced home to make it 11-0 with four minutes remaining.
