Customer Service Assistant

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at Dundee Football Club for a Customer Service Assistant in the Ticketing and Fan Engagement Department.

Overview

Dundee Football Club is one of the largest professional football clubs in Scotland. The Customer Service Assistant will deliver great customer service to Dundee FC Supporters purchasing Tickets, Memberships as well as fielding general enquiries. The role will support the Ticket Office Manager both in day-to-day operations and in developing the ticketing system, staff training and supporter sales and marketing.

You will be part of the front line team responsible for delivering a smooth, friendly, and efficient experience for supporters. The role involves selling match tickets, processing Season Tickets, handling general customer enquiries, and providing high quality customer service both in person and over the phone.

You will be one of the main points of contact for fans, customers and suppliers visiting Dens Park as well as part of the activation team on a match day.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Support: Providing a welcoming and efficient service, resolving inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Selling Match Tickets and Season Tickets: Process bookings for home and away fixtures via our ticketing systems (Future Ticketing), including sales of Season Tickets, Memberships, Hospitality and Club Events
  • Supporter Assistance: Help with account queries, seat changes, accessibility needs, and general ticketing information, as well as enquires regarding hospitality and club events.
  • Handle Payments Accurately: including cash, card, and online transactions.
  • Manage Match Day Collections: including pre paid tickets and accreditation passes.
  • Respond to email and phone enquiries in a professional, helpful manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, refunds, and customer interactions.
  • Support match day operations, including in-store and match day events.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as hospitality, security, and stadium operations.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly, confident manner.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment, especially on match days.
  • Good IT skills, including experience with ticketing or booking systems (training provided).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle cash and follow financial procedures accurately.
  • A flexible approach – willingness to work evenings, weekends, and match days.

 

Desirable

  • Experience in a ticket office, box office, or customer facing role.
  • Knowledge of match day environment in any sport.
