Dundee Football Club is delighted to announce that Cole Perrie is the next youngster to extend their contract, committing his future to the club until the summer of 2028 with a club option to extend further.
Defender Perrie joins Charley Oosenbrugh, Ethan Crombie and Ryan Bland in penning a new deal since the start of the season.
The 18-year-old joined the first team for pre-season in Budapest and featured in several first-team friendlies over the summer.
Alongside his twin brother Luca, Cole has been involved for the U19 squad this season and played in the KDM Evolution Trophy for Dundee B.
Cole Perrie said:
“I’m buzzing to be offered a new contract, and I’m just looking to get going now. When I came into the academy I had a lot to learn, and since then I think I’ve come on massively through the coaches that have helped me.
“Being in with the first team, I’ve learned so much. Everyone is really good with me. This season I just want to get minutes on the pitch, I’ve been in the U19s and played friendlies with the first team and I definitely want to get more experience in the men’s game.”
Head of Football Development Scott Robertson added:
“Cole has developed a lot over his time working with us, to the point that he was out on a very successful loan with Dundee North End. He was part of a winning culture there and Cole played a big part in that.
“He was then in the fortunate position where the first team were short of defenders and he went out to Hungary with them in pre-season and impressed the coaches in the friendlies he played.
“He’s working hard, between training with the U19 squad and first team, and he’s just a great person who works really hard. He still has a lot to learn, but we see real potential in him.”
Everyone at Dundee Football Club congratulates Cole on his new contract and wishes him all the best for his time at the club.
