Cammy Kerr Testimonial Match

Dundee Football Club and the Cammy Kerr Testimonial Committee are delighted to announce that Cammy Kerr’s Testimonial match will take place on Thursday 16th November. It will see Dundee take on a Celtic Select side at the Kilmac Stadium with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Cammy is a Dundee supporter through and through, who attended matches from age five and was a Junior Dark Blue member growing up. Cammy joined the Dundee FC Academy at the age of eight.

Speaking on the announcement of his Testimonial match Cammy said, “I am absolutely delighted to get the match announced, it is something that has been in the pipeline for quite a long time. My committee have put so much time and work into arranging this match and making it happen and I am so grateful to them for this.

“To have a club the calibre of Celtic come to Dens Park for my testimonial match is an absolute honour and I couldn’t be happier.

“It would mean the absolute world to me to have the Dundee fans come out and share this moment with me. We’ve been through highs and lows together and it would be amazing if they came and celebrated my ten years at the club as they’ve always been right there beside me.”

Cammy made his competitive debut for Dundee in January 2014, appearing from the bench as a second half substitute against Livingston. Cammy made two further appearances for The Dee as the club won the Championship title and promotion to the Premiership. The following season Cammy made two appearances before being loaned out to Peterhead on an initial one-month loan in November 2014, which was later extended to the rest of the season. Cammy made 22 appearances for Peterhead, scoring three goals. The defender returned to Peterhead on a four month loan in August 2015. Returning to Dens in December 2015, Cammy put in a man of the match performance in the victory against Dundee United in January 2016. Since the start of the 2016/2017 season Cammy has been a regular starter at right back, and has now made 266 appearances for the club and has scored eight goals.

Cammy remained a near ever-present for Dundee during the 2019/2020 season, making 29 appearances in all competitions before the season ended prematurely. In the 2020/21 season Kerr played a pivotal role in winning promotion in the Premiership Play-off Final, and at the end of the season the defender signed a new two-year deal with The Dee. Kerr played 35 games in the Premiership for The Dee but unfortunately the club were relegated. The following season Dundee were in the Championship and Kerr played his part as the club bounced back by winning the league, returning to Scotland’s top flight. In June 2023 Cammy signed a new two year contract at the club and currently sits at number 33 in the all time Dundee FC appearance list.

Ticket information for Cammy’s testimonial match will be released in due course.
