Our Boys in red and blue

Dundee Football Club are delighted to announce the launch of their new away kit for the forthcoming 2017/18 season.

With the club’s 125th anniversary taking place at the end of the season, the new blue and red away kit is a homage to a kit worn by one of Dundee’s founding clubs Our Boys.

Dundee Football Club was formed on May 20th 1893 at a meeting of local clubs East End and Our Boys at the Mathers Temperance Hotel (now the Malmaison) and having had a number of shirts paying tribute to the kits worn by East End, (most recently in season 2014/15), the club are now delighted to pay tribute to one of our other founding fathers.

Made by Puma, the shirt has the club badge adorn the left breast and the club sponsor’s McEwan Fraser’s new logo across the chest and is reminiscent of a shirt worn by Our Boys in the 1880s. With dark blue shorts with red trim and red and blue socks, the new away kit to a fitting tribute to the heritage of our great club.

The new away kit will be available to buy at Dundee Direct from tomorrow at 10am.

See below for a selection of images of the new kit modelled by Vice-Captain Cammy Kerr.

There is also a fantastic opportunity for our young supporters when purchasing the strip in partnership with our main club sponsor McEwan Fraser Legal.

The first 100 young fans who buy the shirt will receive a Golden Ticket which will allow them to play in a very special ‘Biggest Home Game’ where they will play against the first team.

This will take place after an open training session on the 12th of July, we will have more details of the day online later this evening.
