If travelling by train, Arbroath station is on the main East Coast line between Dundee and Aberdeen with all Scotrail and LNER express trains stopping.
Gayfield is approximately a 10 minute walk from the railway station turn left as you come out of the main entrance to the station and walk down the West Port, then turn right at the bottom onto Millgate Loan and Gayfield is about a quarter of a mile ahead where this road meets with the A92.
The bus station is situated across from the railway station in Catherine Street and is served by the number 73 and 39 buses from Dundee and Montrose from the other direction. The Stagecoach express X7 service also calls at Arbroath.
Due to Gayfield’s location there aren’t any parking spaces around the ground, but there is plenty of spaces on either side of the ground to park which is all completely free.
If you are coming from the direction of Dundee, there are many spaces on Queen’s Drive next to Pleasureland, or if you continue past Gayfield there is Inchcape Park which is your first right after Gayfield. It is next to the Sea which offers street and overspill onto the grass.

Last Meeting
Fine goals in each half by Declan McDaid gave the Dark Blues a 2-0 win over Arbroath at the Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park in October. A battling performance by the Lichties made it a tough afternoon but the patient Dark Blues had the quality and composure in midfield to control the game and were well worth their win.

Arbroath’s Season So Far
Arbroath’s season started with a 2-1 home win over Elgin City in the Betfred Cup and followed that up with an impressive 6-1 win at Stirling Albion. The Smokies travelled to Easter Road next where they lost 3-2 and a 3-2 loss to fellow Championship side Alloa in the final group game saw them exit the competition.
On their League One winners Flag Day, Arbroath opened their Ladbrokes Championship campaign with a 0-0 draw with Queen of the South and continued to put points on the board with wins against Alloa and Dunfermline and a draw with Partick.
In the Challenge Cup Arbroath shocked Dundee United by knocking them out on penalties and nearly took points off them in the league a fortnight later when United needed two late goals to win 2-1.
The Litchties then went down 3-0 at home to joint league leaders Ayr United before losing 2-0 on their first visit to Dens since 1995.
Arbroath then exited the Challenge Cup the following week when they lost 2-0 to Clyde but bounced back the following week in the league with wins over Morton at Gayfield and Partick at Firhill.
After losing at Dunfermline, Arbroath recorded back to back wins against Alloa and Inverness before Morton got revenge for the earlier defeat with a 1-0 win in Greenock.
In the Scottish Cup, the Red Litchties needed a replay to overcome Junior side Auchinleck Talbot after a late equaliser in Ayrshire gave Arbroath a second chance to progress.
