In anticipation of the final role out of the Scottish FA’s ‘Project Brave’ early in 2018, the Dundee FC Academy is looking to recruit suitably qualified people to fill several roles within its enhanced set up. Youth development is set to become an even more important part of Dundee FC than it already is, and these appointments will be critical to our Academy’s future and its contribution to our stars of the future.
Head of Academy (Full Time)
The successful applicant must currently hold either (1) UEFA Pro Licence; (2) UEFA Elite Youth A Licence; (3) UEFA A Licence; or (4) Scottish FA Youth Licence.
The role will involve overall management of the Academy. It would suit an individual with wide experience in all aspects of identification and development of young footballers with the right character to a professional standard and with a sound understanding and appreciation of modern coaching techniques and sports analysis.
Head of Professional Programme (Full Time)
The successful applicant must currently hold either (1) UEFA Pro Licence; (2) UEFA Elite Youth A Licence; (3) UEFA A Licence; or (4) Scottish FA Youth Licence.
Reporting to the Head of Academy, the role will involve coaching the Reserve Team and/or Under 18s
Head of Youth Programme (U13 – U16) (Full Time)
The successful applicant must currently hold either (1) UEFA Pro Licence; (2) UEFA Elite Youth A Licence; (3) UEFA A Licence; or (4) Scottish FA Youth Licence
Reporting to the Head of Academy, the role will involve management of the above age groups, working with coaches and an involvement within the Professional Programme.
Head of Football Science and Medicine (Full Time)
The successful applicant must currently be qualified to a minimum of Bachelor with Honours degree working towards a Masters level in Physiotherapy, Sports Science or related field with 3 years work experience, or, experience at a similar role of commensurable level with full time salary.
Reporting to the Head of Academy, this role will initially involve the creation of a team and structure to support activities including medical screening at every age level, monitoring of players, strength & conditioning, injury prevention, performance lifestyle education and support
Head of Children’s Programme (U11 – U12) (Part Time)
The successful applicant must currently hold the Scottish FA Advanced Children’s Licence.
Reporting to the Head of Academy, the role will involve management of the above age groups, and working with coaches
Head of Player Recruitment (Part Time)
Reporting to the Head of Academy, this role will involve the further development, management and operation of the Academy’s talent identification and recruitment workstreams.
