Peterhead | Preview

Dundee will look to build on victory at Tynecastle last Wednesday when we take on Peterhead in the Scottish Cup on Monday evening, kick-off 7.45pm.

The match takes place at Balmoor and is an opportunity to advance to the quarter-final of the competition.

Peterhead sit 9th in League One and advanced to this stage of the cup thanks to a penalty shoot out victory over East Kilbride last month.

They are currently on a run of six without a win. Their last victory came in December away to Dumbarton. Josh Mulligan was on target for the Blue Toon that afternoon and has since been recalled by Dundee and started in the win over Hearts last week.

Team News

Lee Ashcroft and Cillian Sheridan will miss out through injury while Vontae Daley-Campbell is suspended and Zak Rudden is cup-tied.

Coverage

We will have live updates on our Twitter page during the match with a full match replay, highlights, and post match interviews on DeeTV after.

The match is live on BBC Scotland.

Dee Archive

We take on Peterhead in the Scottish Cup for the first time tonight at the Balmoor Stadium.

Dundee will be hoping that we can make the quarter-final stages for the first time since 2015/16 while Peterhead will be hoping to reach the latter stages of this competition for only the second time, their first came during the 2000-01 season.

Dundee have taken on Peterhead in just five competitive games – all taken place in the League cup.

Our record consists of two wins, two draws and one loss. Both draws resulted in penalty shootouts which Dundee won.

If Cammy Kerr plays tonight and Paul McGowan fails to make the squad, Kerr will join him at the top of the appearance list of matches played against Peterhead.

Our memory match takes place from our last visit up North.

Dundee traveled up to take on the Blue Toon one a Wednesday night in July 2018 for our League Cup Group D tie.

Neil McCann’s side were hurting from a 1-0 defeat to Dunfermline just a few days earlier but bounced back with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from new signings Kharl Madianga and Jean Alassane Mendy
