Billy Koumetio

Dundee Football Club announced the signing of defender Billy Koumetio from Liverpool in August 2024.

The central defender joined The Dee on a two-year contract after spending five years at Liverpool.

The 21-year-old Frenchman came through the youth set up at Olympique Lyon, before moving to US Orléans. He then moved to England joining Liverpool at the age of 16 and represented them at Under 18’s,19’s and 21’s level. In July 2022 he joined Austria Vienna on loan playing 11 times. He then had loan spells at USL Dunkerque and Blackburn Rovers.

Koumetio has also represented France at Under 18 and Under 20 level.

He made his Dundee debut when he came off the bench at home to Hearts, which Dundee won 3-1.
