Young star Oosenbrugh signs new contract

Dundee Football Club are delighted to announce that Charley Oosenbrugh has signed a new contract with the club, committing to the Dark Blues until 2029.

Oosenbrugh has been promoted to the first team squad, and has been heavily involved in the early stages of the 2026/27 season.

Last season, the defender made his first team debut, coming off the bench against Kilmarnock in May.

The 17-year-old travelled to Budapest with the first team squad and has been involved in all of the six friendlies that have been played this summer.

He has also come off the bench in the Premier Sports Cup wins against Airdrieonians and Annan Athletic earlier this month.

Having been with the Dundee FC Academy since the age of six, Oosenbrugh played in the 2024/25 Youth Cup Final for Dundee U18 aged just 15, and earned his first professional contract in summer 2025.

On his new deal, Oosenbrugh said: “Being at the club since I was a young boy, Dundee is all I know. I feel like I can now improve even more and build into the first team, that’s my goal.

“The gaffer has given me the opportunity this preseason and during the league cup games. He’s been massive for me, he’s always giving me little details I can work on and he’s helped massively.

“Just being involved as much I can is definitely the main goal for this season. I just want to be involved as much as I can and see what happens from there.”
