Dundee have been drawn at home to Peterhead in the League Cup 1st Round.
The match is due to be played on the 2nd of August.
The Dees last campaign in the top flight back in 2012 also started with a League Cup match against Peterhead. On that occasion, penalties were required for Dundee to see off the Balmoor side following a 0-0 draw.
Peterhead, who won the League Two Championship last season are managed by former Dundee man Jim McInally.
