Partick preview

Dundee added to an opening day draw with Kilmarnock in midweek with another point on the board after a trip north to Inverness.

Paul Hartley’s men came away from the Highlands with a 0-0 draw and return to action at Dens this weekend as we welcome Partick Thistle.

Partick’s league campaign got underway midweek with a home match against Ross County and it couldn’t really have gone any better. Alan Archibald saw his side hit the ground running with a 4-0 victory.

Manager Paul Hartley told us ahead of the match, “It’s another tough game. They had a positive result in midweek. We go into it with good confidence, we’re undefeated and I’m sure the players will give a good account of themselves.”

THE SQUAD
Phil Roberts misses out as he serves the third of his four game suspension. Kevin Thomson left the park against Inverness during the week and will be out for 7-10 days.

LAST TIME
The last time Partick visited Dens was back in 2012 and they ran out easy 3-0 winner in an end of season affair with Paul Cairney grabbing a hat-trick.

OPPOSITION DANGER MAN
Ryan Stevenson. He joined in the summer after leaving Hearts following their relegation. Captained Partick in their first Premiership match of the season as they ran out 4-0 winners against Ross County.
