Last night we hosted our ‘Night of Champions’ at the Whitehall Theatre, which saw members of the legendary 1962 Championship winning side come together to tell stories from the great season.
Club Historian Kenny Ross did a fantastic job, asking the stars everything from the pre-season trip to Iceland right through to the famous day at Muirton, and everything in between.
Physio and trainer Lawrie Smith, Pat Liney, Craig Brown, Ian Ure and Alan Gilzean delighted all in attendance with some famous stories and some which hadn’t been heard before.
The close of the evening saw the fans get the chance to get up close and personal with the legends with plenty photographs taken and autographs signed.
Winning the league was the clubs greatest achievement and it was a honour for the club to invite these legends back to tell their story again.
