Dundee Football Club are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of two new Supporter Liaison Officers (SLO), Billy Douglas and Kris Scrimgeour.

The club advertised for the position of SLO in July after John Burke, who had served in the role for many years, stood down.

After a high number of applications, the club met with several individuals and are delighted now to appoint Billy and Kris to the role.

The SLO is an independent voluntary position, which is recognised as a key role by UEFA, and is designed as a “bridge” between fans and the club. This allows supporters the opportunity to raise any issues they may have and to put forward their thoughts, views and ideas.

Billy and Kris are both lifelong Dundee supporters and will bring enthusiasm and knowledge to the role.

On becoming SLO, Billy said, “Being a lifelong Dundee fan, I’m absolutely delighted to be appointed as one of the two SLOs and have the opportunity to represent the club alongside Kris. There are so many exciting and positive things going on at Dundee, and I look forward to being a part of it. I also think it’s great for the club to have a link between the fans, and I can’t wait to get started.”

On his appointment, Kris said, “I’m excited to step into the SLO role at Dundee with Billy. I’m looking forward to continuing the great work carried out by John Burke and building upon the foundations he has set in place. It is an opportunity for me to be part of a team which endeavours to strengthen the bond between the club and its fanbase. I’m aiming to help make supporters’ voices heard, their matchday experiences even better, and increase their connection to the club.”
