Dundee Football Club are delighted to announce that Finlay Robertson has signed a new deal at the club till the summer of 2027.
Fin who has been part of the Dundee Academy since the age of 11, went on to make his debut for the first team five years later at the age of 16 against St Mirren on the last day of the 2018/19 season.
Fin has gone on to play 90 times for The Dee, scoring three times. In season 2019/20 he was awarded the Isobel Sneddon Young Player of the Year for season 2019/20. Fin has also represented Scotland at Under 18’s, 19’s and 21’s level.
This season Fin has played 23 times contributing six assists, with one of them being the corner delivery for Simon Murray’s winning goal in Dundee’s 1-0 win against Dundee United in the Scottish Cup.
On signing his new deal Fin said, “It feels really good to get the contract signed. It has been a good season so far, I’ve played a lot of games which is all I want to do. I’ve got a lot of hunger and desire to keep going and keep getting better.
“Having this run of games this season has given me a lot of confidence and like they say the more you play the better you feel. This season I’ve played in a number of different positions and I’m happy doing that because for me the main thing is being on the pitch and playing matches.
“The club has given me a lot, I’ve been here since I was 11, and they have believed in me when maybe others didn’t. I really appreciate the club for what they have given me and I just want to repay them with good performances.”
Fin is the second Dundee Academy graduate along with Luke Graham who has a contract at the club till the summer of 2027.
