Dundee vs Motherwell

13/9/25

3pm kick-off

William Hill Premiership

Dens Park

Dundee meet Motherwell for the first time this season as the Well travel to Dens Park. Motherwell come into this fixture undefeated in the league, having drawn their first four matches. They have had draws against Rangers, St Mirren, Hearts and Kilmarnock, which sees them currently sit on four points ahead of this game. As well as being unbeaten in the league this season, the Well are currently unbeaten in all competitions, having topped their Premier Sports Cup group. They then defeated St Johnstone to advance into the quarter-finals of the competition. Next week, they will take on Aberdeen away from home in the quarter-finals as they look to secure a trip to Hampden for the semi-finals. Dundee and Motherwell last met on the 3rd May 2025 at Dens Park, with the away side coming away with all three points, thanks to a 91st minute injury time winner, to win the match 1-2, despite being reduced to 10 men. Although the last meeting was only back in May, a lot has changed at both clubs, with both having new individuals at the helm. Dundee is now under the leadership of Steven Pressley, and Motherwell is now being led by Jens Berthel Askou. It has been a summer of change for both clubs, as well as changes to the coaching staff, both clubs have had many player changes with the squads now looking very different. One player who was with Dundee last season, but who is now with Motherwell, is Jordan McGhee. Jordan made 197 appearances for the Dee, scoring 21 goals over his six seasons at Dens.
