Captain James McPake continued his recovery as he made his return to action in the SPFL Development League against Rangers.
In James’ first match since January he was involved in the first 45 minutes at Forthbank as the sides came in goal less at the break.
Rangers went on to win the match 3-0 with Zak Rudden netting twice and Liam Burt scoring.
Dundee started with first teams, Michael Duffy, Nicky Low and Yordi Teijsse alongside Rangers in what was an even first half affair there was little in the way of chances.
McPake came through the first 45 minutes as planned with no issues and a good performanced under his belt.
Shortly after the break, Rangers took the lead through Rudden who was given space on the edge of the box and curled home.
Rangers controlled the second period and added a second shortly after with Burt’s short taking a deflection and looping over Calum Ferrie in the Dundee goal.
Rudden added a third later in the match.
