Match Preview – St Mirren 11/11/23

Dundee v St Mirren

Saturday 11th November – 3pm Kick-Off

The Scot Foam Stadium at Dens Park

cinch Premiership

Dundee have another home game this weekend as St Mirren come to the Scot Foam Stadium on Saturday. St Mirren have had a fantastic start to the 23/24 season and currently find themselves in third position behind Glasgow’s two. They are currently sitting in a European spot which will extremely excite the St Mirren supporters, but the players and manager will know there is a very long way to go this season. However, if St Mirren continue performing the way they have done then there is a high very high chance that they will finish in a European spot. Saturday will be the second meeting of the sides with the first encounter being the second match of the league season on Saturday 12th August in Paisley.  It was the Buddies that came out on top with a 2-1 victory and they will be looking for two out of two against Dundee this season, but The Dee will be determined to make sure that is not the case.

Team News

Josh Mulligan continues his recovery from his hernia operation and will miss Saturday’s match.

Stuart Taylor

“It will be a very tough game, I’ve seen quite a lot of them this season. Stephen Robinson has got them very well organised, they are a well-disciplined side with a lot of good experienced professionals in there who are very good at playing at this level. So we know it’s going to be a very difficult game but we are looking forward to it. We’ve got a great bunch of boys, who work extremely hard and credit goes to them for how well they are playing right now and we are looking forward to the next game.”

Lyall Cameron

“We are doing the same as always, looking at our structure and how we can play against them and how we can beat them. But we know St Mirren are a good side, they are high up in the league, they’ve been playing some stuff and they are good at what they do. But we just need to play against them the way we do and hopefully we will get a result.”
