Dundee Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Mexican midfielder Victor Lopez on a yearlong loan deal, subject to international clearance and being granted the necessary visa.

Victor who is known as Chespi will join us from Liga MX side Queretaro.

The left sided midfielder came through the youth academy at Monterrey and played for their under 19’s and 23’s side before being promoted to the senior squad. He made 21 appearances for the first-team and scored three goals.

Victor then joined Liga MX side Queretaro and has played three times and scored once.

In March last year he made his first appearance for the Mexican national team at under 23 level in a 3-0 friendly win over Argentina.

Chespi will now join up with his new teammates including fellow countrymen Antonio Portales and Cesar Garza. Once available for selection Chespi will wear the number 27 jersey for the Dark Blues.
