Hamilton preview

Tuesday night’s goalless draw with Celtic has set Dundee up for this weekend’s trip to Hamilton knowing that a win and they are all but in the top six for the second consecutive year.

Barring an incredible goal swing from Partick Thistle, three points will be enough for Paul Hartley’s men to secure the place in the top half of the table.

Hamilton currently sit in 10th in the league and will be determined to put some points on the board with Kilmarnock just four points behind them.

Rory Loy is a major doubt for the match while Kane Hemmings will make the squad. Paul McGinn, Kosta Gadzhalov and Nicky Low all returned to training this week and could be in line to match the squad following injuries.

The previous meetings between the sides this season have seen Dundee pick up 4 points, a 1-1 draw at New Douglas Park saw Accies fight back with ten men and grab and late leveller through Dougie Imrie.

It was a different story at Dens Park in December as Dundee blew Hamilton away, going 4-0 up in just 26 minutes with Kane Hemmings helping himself to a hat trick.
