Greg Stewart has been awarded the SPFL Player of the Month for January.
It’s been a fantastic month for Greg at Dens where he has netted 5 goals in 7 games and also signed a contract extension with the club.
The first fixture of the month was one to forget with a derby defeat but Greg netted his first goal of the New Year with a superb free kick early in the match.
He played in every one of the six matches in the month after that as the team went through the remainder of January unbeaten.
Goals against Motherwell, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock were followed by two assists in a win at St. Mirren and Greg rounded the month off in spectacular fashion with an 88th minute beauty to save a point at home to Hamilton.
Greg is the second Dundee player to win the award this season after David Clarkson picked it up in November.
