Dundee FC are pleased to announce that Gavin Rae will be the captain ahead of the start of the 2013/14 season.
The competitive action gets underway as Dundee take on Alloa in the Ramsdens Cup this Saturday.
We spoke to Gavin today who told us he was looking forward to leading the team out, Gavin told us, “Definitely, I think now I’m older and experienced that it’s easier to go and do it, and obviously to come here and get the chance to do it here, it’s brilliant.”
Gavin has played for Rangers, Cardiff and Aberdeen and has experience of being captain at each of those clubs, he said “On occasion I’ve captained every club. I’ve not been the constant captain but on occasions i’ve been captain for every club i’ve played at.”
