Dundee United – 31/8/25 – Preview and Info

Dundee vs Dundee United

31/8/25

2pm kick-off

William Hill Premiership

Dens Park

On Sunday Dundee United make the walk up the road for the first Dundee derby of the 25/26 season. The match will see Dundee Head Coach Steven Pressley take charge of his first Dundee derby, in his second league match at Dens Park. Both squads have undergone significant changes since last season, with many players coming and going in the city of discovery this summer. For many players on both sides, it will be their first experience of the Dundee derby. The last meeting of the sides was on the 16th March at Tannadice, where Dundee took the three points up the road, winning 2-4, thanks to goals from Scott Tiffoney, Simon Murray and a double from Jordan McGhee. It is a very much new look teams for both sides as we go into the first derby of the season. In the league so far this season, Dundee United have only played two league matches, one less game than Dundee, due to their match against Aberdeen being postponed. In their two league matches, United have drawn with Falkirk and lost at home to Hearts.

Team News

Charlie Reilly and Paul Digby will miss the match through injury.
