The Dundee United Development Association (DUDA) have informed the club that they will donate the proceeds from this Saturday’s Matchday 50:50 draw at Tannadice to financially support the continued work of Ricardo Cerdan on his mission in Ukraine
Ricardo is a Dundee United employee who has visited Ukraine to volunteer and assist in the safe passage of refugees.
Tickets, priced at £2, will be available in all sections of the stadium – including the stands housing the Dundee support.
Proceeds from the Matchday 50:50 usually go to Dundee United’s Academy but given the humanitarian emergency that exists in Ukraine, it was decided that all profits from this week’s draw would be forwarded to support Ricardo’s efforts.
Colin Stewart, DUDA Chairperson, said: “We encourage all supporters of both our city’s teams to support this initiative as this is an opportunity to provide financial assistance to help support the young people of Ukraine who are living in desperate and dangerous conditions.”
