The club announced today that at the close of the early bird sales period on Saturday, Season Ticket sales had topped the 3000 mark.
This is an incredible 73% increase on last season’s figures during the same early bird window and while commenting on the phenomenal rise in sales, CEO Scot Gardiner praised not only the fans but also the Dens Park staff who he said “Have worked tirelessly throughout an incredibly busy period since the season ended and they all deserve a huge amount of credit”. He went on to say “One of the most encouraging things for all of us is the fact that 37% of the sales to date are new. By any gauge, both the renewal and the “new” sales figures are impressive and show just how much the combined efforts of the team, the fans and the staff has meant to all who support Dundee FC as we look forward to a new challenge in the top flight.
The Board tried to keep any price increases to a minimum while still allowing us to give Paul Hartley a competitive budget and maintain and improve the infrastructure of the club and this magnificent response gives everyone connected with the club a real boost and we are very thankful for that”.
Season Tickets continue on sale at the Dens Park Ticket office as are the pre-season challenge match tickets for Manchester City which have also been selling in fantastic numbers, which is not surprising as they happen to be for a game against the star studded Champions of England who have confirmed that their incredible squad will be accompanied by the Barclays Premiership Trophy when they visit us in July.
