Dees on International Duty – Round Up November 23
Dundee have had five players away on international duty during this international window. Amadou Bakayoko, Lyall Cameron, Fin Robertson, Owen Beck and Aaron Donnelly. We take a look at how they got on while representing their countries.
Amadou Bakayoko β Sierra Leone β Senior Squad
Amadou Bakayoko was away with Sierra Leone as they began their 2026 World Cup Qualifying campaign. First up was Ethiopia where they drew 0-0, Bakayoko was a unused substitute in that match. Play was suspended for an hour at half-time after the pitch was engulfed with fog. In their second match Sierra Leone faced Egypt where they lost 2-0, Baka came off the bench for the last ten minutes.
Lyall Cameron & Fin Robertson β Scotland β Under 21βs SquadΒ
Scotland Under 21βs had two away matches in this international window,
both matches were qualifying matches for the under-21 UEFA Championship. The first match was a trip to Belgium where Scotland recorded a fantastic 0-2 victory. Lyall Cameron played the full 90 minutes and scored Scotlandβs second goal of the match and put in an impressive performance. Fin Robertson came on to make his debut for Scotland Under 21βs on the hour mark. In the second match, they travelled to Hungary where neither side were able to break the deadlock. Lyall again played the full 90 minutes, while Fin was a unused substitute in that match.
Owen Beck β Wales β Under 21βs Squad
Owen Beck joined up with the Wales Under 21 squad as they continued their qualifying campaign for the Under 21 UEFA Championship. Owen was not involved in their first match where Wales recorded a 1-0 win at home to Iceland. Owen returned to the starting eleven for their match at home to Denmark on Monday, where he played the full match, however, it was a 1-2 defeat for Wales on the night.
Aaron Donnelly β Northern Ireland β Under 21βs Squad
Aaron Donnelly was back in the Northern Ireland Under 21βs squad. Northern Ireland had just one match in this International window and it was against England. It was an Under 21 UEFA Championship qualifying match but Northern Ireland suffered a 0-3 defeat to England. Aaron Donnelly played the full 90 minutes in this match.
