Dundee Football Club are excited to announce the signing of midfielder Joel Cotterill on a loan deal from Swansea City until the end of the season. The transfer is subject to international clearance.
The 21-year-old was on loan at Bristol Rovers for the first part of the season, but the Welsh club recalled Joel and has been brought up to Dens Park for the rest of the 2025/26 campaign.
Joel has been at Swansea City his entire career joined the academy at seven years old, where he has known fellow Swans loanee Cam Congreve for the same amount of time. He has enjoyed loan spells at Stockport County, Swindon Town and more recently Bristol Rovers.
Speaking after joining the Dee, Joel said, βItβs a good feeling, nice to be here. I had a Zoom call with the gaffer, was really interesting, said nothing but good things about the club, that really hooked me in. Obviously knowing Cam (Congreve), Yan (Dhanda) and Joe Westley helped, I had a few chats with Cam who spoke highly about his time up here so far and would be really good for me, ready for a new challenge.β
Joel will wear the number 24 for Dundee.
Welcome to The Dee Joel!
