Lee Cameron scored his second double in a week to give Dundee Under 19s successive wins at the start of their SPFL U19 League programme.
After hitting two against Dumbarton last Sunday, the young striker did it again with a brace to shoot down Queen’s Park 2-1 at Lesser Hampden.
Although the young Dees started well, Queen’s Park came more into the game and it was the home side who took the lead halfway through the first half after the visitors were guilty of some careless possession.
Dundee regained their composure after that blow and equalised five minutes before the interval. A flick-on from Cammy Kerr was knocked in behind the home defence by Thomas Carberry into the path of Cameron, who toe-poked it past the keeper.

Craig Wighton, fresh from Scotland Under 17 duty, came on for Cammy Black at the start of the second period. The visitors dictated the game and created several good chances, with the Spiders’ keeper coming to his side’s rescue on more than one occasion.
Calvin Colquhoun tested him with a left foot volley but the keeper brought off a fine save to deny the midfielder.
He was eventually beaten though when Gary Duggan played the ball out wide to Carberry who once again sent a quality ball into the box where Cameron made no mistake, sidefooting home from close in.
Max Avolio came on for John Black and Dale Davidson made a late appearance in place of Duggan.
Wighton then hit the post for Dundee and just before the end Cameron made sure the points were heading for Dens when he cleared a header off his own goalline.

Under 19 coach Gavin Burns was understandably delighted with the win and the start his charges have made to the league campaign.
He said, “We created a number of chances and should have scored more. We worked our goals nicely with the two strikers linking well.
Defensively, I felt we were quite comfortable. We became more composed as the game went on and passed the ball well.”
