Dundee Football Club are excited to announce the signing of Sammy Braybrooke on a season-long loan deal from Leicester City, subject to international clearance.

Twenty year-old Braybrooke joins The Dee from Leicester City where he has been since the age of six working up through the youth development system into the first-team squad. He made his first team debut in the English League Cup against Newport County in November 2022.

For Leicester City Under 18’s, he played 21 times scoring once, before moving up to the Under 21’s where he has played 49 times scoring four times. The defensive midfielder has also represented England at international level, playing 11 times for England Under 18’s, 3 times for England Under 19’s and twice for England Under 20’s.

Speaking after joining the Dark Blues Sammy said, “It feels amazing to sign, it’s a great club with lots of ambition. I found out Dundee were interested in the middle of the window and I had a few other clubs interested but ultimately I chose Dundee because of the ambition of the club and the opportunity to play in the Scottish Premiership. The project that Dundee has got here and where they want to go really attracted me, is I saw how the club did last season and the club want to build on that. I had a number of conversations with the manager and he just really filled me with confidence, he thinks I will fit into the team well and I think with the way I play it will be a very good fit.”
