Bobby Wales joins on loan

Dundee Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Bobby Wales on a season-long loan from Swansea City, subject to international clearance.

21-year-old Wales came through Kilmarnock FC’s academy and made his debut in the Premiership in October 2022.

After a loan spell at Alloa Athletic, the forward made 30 appearances for Kilmarnock in the 2024/25 season, and earned himself a four-year contract at Swansea.

Wales is an age-grade Scotland international, winning caps at U17, U18, U19 and U21 level.

Bobby Wales said:

“I’m really happy. I’m familiar with my surroundings and the league. I’m just really happy to be playing football again.

“I want to try and score as many goals as I can. I don’t think I’ve had a chat with a manager that has given me this much belief before.”

“You couldn’t ask for a better game to start with and go and make a statement. As a team I believe we can do well, and we just need to go and do what we can.

Manager Steven Pressley added:

“We’re very excited about Bobby, he’s a young player with high potential and already a proven track record within the Scottish Premiership. It’s our job to make him a better player and we think he’s got big potential and a high ceiling.

“We’ve obviously formed a good relationship with Swansea and I think they trust us with their young players, and we want to help him on his journey.”

Everyone at Dundee Football Club is delighted to welcome Bobby and wishes him all the best this season.
