Beck is back

Beck is back

Dundee Football Club are absolutely delighted to announce that Owen Beck has rejoined the club for the rest of the 23/24 season, subject to international clearance.

Owen was recalled by Liverpool on the 1st January and returned to Anfield and made his Premier League debut for Liverpool away to Bournemouth on the 21st January.

Owen had a fantastic first half of the season, winning the hearts of the Dundee supporters and he received many plaudits nationally for his performances. His displays also led to him being called up to the Welsh National squad for the first time.

He has played 20 times for The Dee this season scoring twice and Owen will wear the number 63 for the second part of the season.

Speaking to DeeTV after coming back to Dundee, Owen said, “I am made up to be back, after the first half of the season that we both had together. I now just can’t wait to get back out there and perform in front of the fans again. I am over the moon to be back. I just want to thank the Dundee fans for their support in the first half of the season, even when you found out I got recalled you were fantastic with me, but I am back again, so let’s get to work again.”

On the news of Beck’s return Dundee manager, Tony Docherty said, “I am absolutely delighted that Owen is back with us. It came to our attention on Sunday after the Liverpool game when Andy Robertson came on and with Tsimikas returning from injury there might be a possibility that Owen might return to us. He’s made such a positive impact in the first half of the season both on and off the pitch. When we got confirmation from Liverpool yesterday that he could come back to Dundee everyone at the club was so excited, the coaches, the players, and all the other staff at the club. I know the fans will be overjoyed that Owen is back as they loved watching him play in the dark blue of Dundee. We are just looking forward to getting Owen back to what Owen is, he is a brilliant boy, a fantastic member of a really good squad and everyone is really looking forward to having him back. I would like to thank Liverpool for allowing Owen to return and to Matt Newberry at Liverpool for all of his help and support.”

Welcome back Owen!
